From the latest research, the type 2 diabetes drug rosiglitazone (Avandia®) is identified as unethical drug and should be pulled in each country around the world. The foundation also concludes that the 34 sites clinical trial in Canada needs to be suspended. The decision should be done as soon as possible in the effort to prevent a serious impact due to the use of drug.

A Canadian researcher who has study the drug rosiglitazone (Avandia) recommends the government in each country to re-examine seriously about the use of drug. It includes the status of trial in their jurisdiction and determines whether the trial is allowed to continue or not. He also sits in an important position in a clinical pharmacology and toxicology at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario as the head. In his letter to US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), he wrote that the Clinical equipoise entails no result to lesser the intervention compared with the standard cure. The reason is the drug has no approving safety profile and has no benefit due to other medications.
